11 weeks!

{Shirt: Motherhood Maternity | Jeans: Pea in the Pod}

I seriously can not believe that I'm almost out of the 1st trimester already.  I feel like I just found out, like yesterday.  But I knew this pregnancy would fly by, just as all my pregnancies have since I had Carter.  We are so busy all the time, that I usually have to check my pregnancy app to even remember how far along I am.  Oh well... poor kid. ;)  I forgot Reid turned 10 months old on Wednesday too, so this baby isn't the only one being neglected... it's everyone.  I don't discriminate.

Mom of the Year, I tell ya.

So, I had my first OB appt today!  Yep, at 11 weeks.  I did have betas at 4 weeks, an ultrasound at both 6 weeks and 7 weeks {all due to a previous loss} and then a prenatal appt with all the bloodwork and family history questions at 8 weeks.  Good times!  But my first OB appt was today.  I just LOVE my OB.  Seriously.  If she wasn't all up in my vag, we could be BFFs, I swear.  And she was so excited about the baby.

Everything went well and the baby's HB was a lovely 160.  It was much higher than it has been {it was 137 at my ultrasounds, which was Brynn HB every time. That automatically made me think girl, but I know that has nothing to do with it.  I literally have NO CLUE what this baby will be.} Anyway, I think the heartbeat was a little high because this also happened today...
...yep, the glucose test.  At 11 weeks.  Blah.  If you think it's bad between 24 and 28 weeks, try taking it when you still have a lot of those 1st tri symptoms.  It's awesome, let me tell ya.

While I've never had GD, I'm required to take the test in 1st tri AND 2nd tri because all 3 of my babies have been over 9 pounds, born early.  It's just a precaution and hopefully I'll have good results next week.  We shall see!

Pregnancy: 11 weeks

Weight Gain: 1 pound

Sleep: Not terrible.  I've been so tired all the time, but have the occasional night where I just wake up constantly.  Blah.

Gender: We find out August 30th at our anatomy scan!!

Names: Post coming soon!

Feeling: Great! Most days I forget that I'm even pregnant {ya know, besides the belleh}.  With my other kids, I did have nausea starting at 6 weeks but it magically stopped at exactly 10 weeks.  This time, I can count on one hand how many times I had waves of nausea. Probably four?  At the most.  All around dinner time.  I feel very lucky this time, because I was wondering how I would handle the nausea and exhaustion, all with a 9 month old baby at home. Andplusalso, 2 other kids.  But alas, the pregnancy gods were looking out for me.

Health:  My BP has been pretty good at my appts so far, but they are concerned for this pregnancy again, considering I've had pre-e twice.  My BP was pretty good with Reid, but was slightly elevated already with this baby {nothing serious, however.}

I will be monitored by Maternal Fetal Medicine {MFM} again, considering the health issues I've had in the past {pre-e, cervical mass that was surgically removed in November, bleeding disorder, large babies, etc.}.  I've had 2 ultrasounds so far with this baby, but my next one won't be until my anatomy scan at 18 weeks 1 day {August 30th!!!}  Can't wait! :)  I'll then have ultrasounds every 4 weeks until 27 weeks, where I'll be seen every week or two for biophysical profile ultrasounds {BPPs}.

I had the same schedule with Reid, which made Team Green quite challenging.  It wasn't that I wanted to find out, it was that I didn't want the techs to slip or use any pronouns.  It was torturous.  So glad we're finding out this time, and this is one of the reasons for that {among others!}

Movement: I FELT THE BABY!!!  Ahhhhhhh!  I started feeling this one about a week ago and I thought I was going crazy.  But by #4, you KNOW when it's the baby.  And it most certainly was.  By the third "flick" in the same spot, I was convinced.  Since then, I've been feeling him/her a few times a day.  It's wonderful and it certainly calmed my nerves at my OB appt this morning when my doctor couldn't find the baby's heartbeat on the doppler for a good 10 minutes.  If I hadn't felt the baby while sitting in the waiting room that morning, I would have been a nervous wreck. Whew! Thanks glucose test!

Belly: Well, it's huge.  I measured 5-6 weeks ahead with all of my kids, so I expect the same with this baby.

For comparison, here are my side-by-side weekly belly pics with Reid.

Next Appointment: OB Appointment: My birthday!... Friday, August 9th at 15w1d.  What a nice litle birthday present for myself, right??  Maybe I can convince Bob to take off from work with me and then take me out to lunch after my appointment :)  Next ultrasound: Friday, August 30th at 18w1d {my anatomy scan!!!}

First off...you have the cutest belleh ever! So glad we get to see it again :) By chance are you short waisted? I am and it always made my belleh pop much sooner than the norm. Either way, I love it! and 2nd, will you have babies in 08,10,12 and possibly 14?? I am a numbers girl and if that were me that would make my day, haha! I am pretty sure Brynn was 2010 and I know Reid was 2012...just can't remember Carter. I was thinking he was 2010. Fun times ahead for you guys!!

So I just read through your past couple of posts and I noticed that you and I have the same due date!

Also, my baby boy is 7 months old so my babies will be 14 months apart.

You look awesome btw, I wish I was showing a little bit rather than just looking like I haven't lost my pregnancy weight from the last one.

@Jenna- I don't think I'm short-waisted, but maybe?? I'm 5'8 and my legs are long, so probably a little bit. For some reason I show SUPER early! And YES... 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014! It makes me VERY happy, lol! Just hoping this one makes it until 2014, of course!!

@breshef- How exciting! Congrats... glad I'm not the only one with kids super close in age, lol! Good luck to you!!

I actually didn't mind the glucose test, it wasn't as bad as people made it seem to be for me lol.

I know what you mean though! I had a prenatal appointment on Tuesday and we scheduled the gender scan and I'm so excited. But like you my pregnancy is also flying! At first it seemed like it was dragging until I was marking my calendar for my gender scan and realized that in 5 weeks I'll be halfway done! Crazy!!

That's amazing you're already feeling movement!!

So excited that Abigail will have a little brother! Looing forward to hearing your news :)

You look great! I'm due August 3rd 2014. I also have a son about to be 11 months old so he'll be 17 months when this baby's born. It's funny b/c I just found out yesterday and I called my husband immediately. I told him Merry Christmas and he started laughing! We're hoping for a girl so... think pink!

Congrats! I just found out yesterday that I'm pregnant, 5 weeks along. I'm already feeling worse than my first pregnancy (my son will be 11 months on Dec. 11). I'm due August 3rd which means a Leo baby! I'm an Aries, hubby is a Gemini and my son is a Capricorn. I can't wait to find out what I'm having. We're hoping for a girl so...think pink.
You look great btw. I wish I showed that early. Love the belleh! BTW. how do you create a blog?
