It's time for a new me.

I'm starting Weight Watchers today. I went to the meeting last night, got all my books, weighed in (yikes) and I'm ready for a new me. My personal goal is to lose 20 lbs. I'd love to lose 25-30 lbs, but I'm not quite sure if I can do it yet. If I lose the 30, I'd be back to the weight I was when I got married. I gained about 20 lbs the first year of marriage {fat and happy, I guess} and then still have about 5-7 lbs of baby weight on me.

I'm nervous, scared, and excited to embark on this weight loss journey. Thankfully, my 2 sisters and my mom are all doing it as well, which will make it a little easier for us all to handle.

Is anyone else in Weight Watchers? Or has anyone found success on the program? Want to do it together? We can share recipes, weight loss goals, and help each other get through it. Just a thought. Let me know if you are interested.

Also... I added my email addy to the side. Feel free to use it if you'd like :)

Hey Jenni! I also wanted to start WW this month. Right now I am going off of books that my co-worker gave me from when she did WW last year. I would love to share recipes sometime.

BTW, I LOVE your blog! You are in my google reader and I love reading the updates about your family and your beautiful baby boy.

Thanks Jenn! Hope the new house is going well :)

I'm trying to figure out a way to swap recipes. Maybe I can create an e-mail chain, or do it right through the blog.

Way to go with the WW! It is hard work but so worth it in the end! I am not doing WW just making better choices and getting exercise more. I too found myself 20lbs heavier after the wedding and then lost 20lbs, only to pg and now have that 20 to lose again. You will do great!

Dont forget it is frustrating in the beginning for sure but you will see those results soon! Dont worry aobut the lbs all the time measure yourself and revel in the inches lost! Keep us updated!

Good luck, Jenni. I actually got a WW recipe book as a Christmas gift and it has 15 minute, 20 minute and 30 minute recipes in it. I will let you know as I make them. The only one I have tried, and it was delicious was a Chicken with Asiago and Orzo. Good stuff. I will email it to you.

Hey Jenni! I was on WW a few years ago and lost 25 pounds by following the points plan and walking EVERY DAY for 30 minutes. Thats it! I've got about 8 lbs of baby weight left, then 13lbs to get back to my goal when I was on WW. I'm starting at the end of the month. With determination and support from your family (which is awesome that they are doing it with you, by the way), you'll find it to be a lot easier than you ever thought! GL!!

Jenni, last time years ago after college, I went on it, and loast 50lbs. I know there is success on it. I have some weight from being married and then the rest of the baby weight so I have about 40lbs to lose! I started this week, but since I know the diet, I won't be going to a meeting for a few weeks when I stop working!

I told you about my cousin who is a meeting leader so I will be getting a ton of recipes and snack ideas! I will definately forward them on!

Good for you :) I've been battling for my weight for several years, but I'm determined! to do it this year.

I found this video clip shortly before the new year that is fascinating and repelling at the same time... and a bit motiviting. Ha!

Yay... I'm so happy to hear your success stories (seriously, way to go!!) and excited that a few others will be on it with me :)

I think I will post once a week so that we can all tell our progress and share what we liked/disliked for meals.

Dieting is hard enough... we might as well help each other!

Hey Jenn, I started WW again on Monday (yesterday). I do WW online and LOVE IT. It is wonderful because you can put in your own recipes and find out the points values. If you eat out, go to www.dwlz.com for points for all the places you love.

I do WW, have lost over 30lbs off of my pre-preg weight! It is the best...I don't know if you're BFing, but I am and it gives me and extra 10 points, most days it is hard for me to hit my point value because I have so many. I love it, WW is the best!

Hi Jenni!
I found your blog through thenest and I realized we actually live pretty close to each other. I love your photos of Carter. My little guy is just a few months behind him (9.2.08) so it's fun to see what we have in store.

I am also planning to start WW with my mom to get rid of this baby/married weight. I have 20 lbs to go until pre-pregnancy and 40lbs to go until pre-wedding. I have several weddings this summer, so I'm trying to use that as my motivation. What kind of exercise are you going to incorporate into your plan? That seems to be the hardest part for me :(

Thanks for inviting us all to be a part of your journey! I think group motivation is key.

Hey Jenni -
I have to start off by saying I love reading your blog! I have done weight watchers many times before with great success. I however am unable to do it currently since I am 4 months pregnant but I already plan on going back after the baby comes! I am excited to see you progress and good luck!!!
