Take it off Monday

Large_medifast_badge

This week was good.

And then it wasn't so good.

I'd say by Thursday I was down a pound and things were going really well.  I was staying on plan and doing great and then BAM.  The weekend.  And not just any weekend.  A busy weekend with three {count 'em: three} parties.  And, not to make excuses, but it is damn hard to stay on plan when you have a crazy, stressful, busy weekend with THREE parties. {One of which was a very special "party" I plan to blog about this week.}

And then I gained that pound back.  But.  I've been 100% back on plan and I'm working hard again.  Just hoping to get past this hump.

But, crap. I have another crazy weekend coming up. Of course I do.  A very special weekend. A weekend in which my mom turns SIXTY.  A weekend that will be spent celebrating HER {because no one deserves it more.}

A weekend that will be spent on a wine tour. {Just keepin' it real here folks.}

I feel like this weight loss journey is one step forward, two steps back. Let's hope I can keep it together this week, mmmkay?

So, how is everyone else doing on their diet plans this week?  I'd love to hear from you and/or have you share a link to your most recent post!

dont get yourself down with the whole 1 step forward, two steps back thoughts. I know where youre coming from, but just think, if you werent on plan at all, you would be 3, possible 4 steps backwards. And our goals arent attainable if we put unrealistic (ex:absolutely no junkfood, aka celebrations) thoughts into our head. We need to realize that any diet needs to fit into our own lives, which includes cheat weekends, or holidays, etc.

Hang in there Jenni! With everything you've been through over the last 6 months, enjoying those celebrations should be a great moment for you. So you didn't lose what you wanted? When you reflect back on the past and upcoming {can I just say JEALOUS!} weekend, you will remember the wonderful time with friends and family...not the 1 or 2 pounds you didn't lose. Keep going but don't get discouraged! Enjoy the moments!

Jenni, hand in there girl! You've got this and believe me I know how hard it is to stay on plan especially during busy weekends. Don't beat yourself up, just take it one day at a time and you'll get to your goal. Look at all the progress you've made so far. It's seems to be taking me longer to lose these extra pounds from having my 3rd baby just 5 months ago but you know, it will come off if you're determined, which you are. I keep telling myself the same. :-). Enjoy your mom's 60th this weekend!

Hmmmm. Well, I totally get it. I had just about made up my mind that I would cheat partially when we went to Disney in a few weeks.

But then I decided it wasn't really worth it. I'm there to spend vacation with my kids, not eat. So I ordered a case of tropical punch because it's easy to mix on the go.

And fter gaining that pound a few weeks ago I have taken off 8.6 in the past two weeks.

Seriously! I'm on a roll.

But if your choice is to enjoy your events with food, do it successfully and then hop back on program. Everyone has to do what's right for them!!!
