Tell me one good thing...

I did this on my Facebook page yesterday and it made me so happy, so I thought I'd bring it over here to the blog...

In the comments, tell me one good thing that happened in January. =)

I mean people mentioned everything from delivering a new baby, to buying a new house, to going on their honeymoon and all I could come up with was that I kept myself and 3 kids alive for the entire month and no one got hurt.

So let's hear 'em...

This was a terrible month for me, but the best thing is that my husband had an endoscopy Wednesday morning (to check his esophagus) and there was NOT bad news -- we were so afraid, and things looked OK! At the same time this was happening I got to bond with someone whose presence in my life scares me a lot, which means that by the time my husband was ready to be picked up from the clinic, I'd become a lot less scared of her. :)

I know that's probably a weird thing to be happy about but like I said ... it's been a bad month, a super weird month, so that's just what you get! Here's to February :)

Emily wore the same pair of undies from 7am to 8pm. I haven't not bought diapers since August 2008!

I had a nice reply from my ipad but that thing never lets me comment on blogs! Boo:( But anyway, my month sounds like yours - just happy that we all made it to February. The only wonderful thing that happened this month is that my oldest son Ben, just turned 5 last Friday. Besides his three (yes, three) parties the month has been pretty blah..... Let's hope for a better February!!!!

I'm the one who went on my honeymoon!! My husband and I got married in September and decided to delay it and it was so worth it! We went to Couples Sans Souci in Ocho Rios Jamaica. If anyone is looking for a WONDERFULLY relaxing all-inclusive to visit, I recommend this or any Couples resort! Happy February, Jenni! :)

I quit my job to stay home with our little girl (she's 2 months old), and they asked me to stay on as a contractor, very part time, so I can work from home. BEST NEWS EVER for our little family :)

We welcomed our second child, a son on January 21st. He is a breath of fresh air to our family after two years of one bad thing after another happening. I am hoping his birth will start to turn things around!

My 3 month old slept from 7pm to 5:30am!! Unfortunately my 2 1/2 year old son woke up 4 times in that span because he was sick... but hey it's progress with the little one and my oldest is no longer sick.

I got a cold which caused me to have to take some time off of work, BUT it also gave me a 4 day weekend for my birthday where I could get extra sleep, catch up on TV shows, and most importantly hang out with my family more.

We left our 1 yr old with grandparents while we took the almost 3 yr old to Disney on Ice -- first Theo+Mommy+Daddy date ever! Now we have to figure out what to do to get some 1:1 special time with the 1 yr old. :)
You're doing great Jenni. I lost my dad 5.5 yrs ago so I kinda sorta know what you're going through, or at least I can relate.

After struggling for a year with my husband and battling the option of divorce, I came home after a 2-wk stay with my family and we had a long discussion, decided to 'see how this year goes', and have been getting a long great since.
The best part? I have always vowed to stay in a marriage and work on our issues with divorce never being an option, this whole situation has strengthened my faith in God and helped me to see that the 'problems' within our marriage were not just my husbands fault, but that there were things I too needed/need to work on. :]
This was a great post to get readers involved!

My husband and I took a couple days off and went away from life. I also saw a wonderful urologist that I think may actually be able to help me!
I love your blog Jenni! Happy weekend!

Mine sounds minor compared to some of the others, but one good thing that happened in January for me was that I got my grades entered ON TIME. I am a preschool teacher and it seems as though just as soon as conferences are done for one term, grades and documentation are due for the next term. So I was happy to get them in ON TIME!

I stared at your post on FB and just couldn't come up with anything. January kind of sucked. But, it's now February and that's good. So the best thing about January was that it ended and we're off to a new start! :)

I had a tumor removed from my chin. My husband and I were extremely worried about what it was and I practically "knew" and even accepted the fact that it was cancer. Friday we found out it was benign!!! Praise God!

My baby girl finally slept for six hours straight at night.
After gaining fifty pounds during pregnancy (yikes!) the scale is finally starting to move in a negative direction which is so very positive!
And best of all the end of January means I am one month closer to having my little family back together again- only four months left til my hubby returns home from deployment!!!

fyi: I stumbled across your blog during the summer and we were pregnant at the same time (you with #3, me with #1) and I've been checking it out from time to time ever since!
