25 weeks!

25w
Shirt & Capri's: Motherhood

Well, would you look at that... 25 weeks.  That's just a week and 6 days shy of the 3rd trimester.  Andplusalso? A few days shy of 99 days left.  Like... in the entire pregnancy.

Can someone please explain how that's even possible?

So, in a {small} way, I feel a little bad for this kid.  Coming into the world as a third baby.  Getting all the hand-me-downs.  Being the second of something {either second boy or second girl.}  Not really needing a single thing {well, nothing that a one-day trip to BRU can't handle.}  Going roomless. {But not homeless... just roomless!}

Yep... that's right folks.  There will be no nursery for this baby.

I have to say... I'm kinda relieved.  No planning.  No painting.   No buying.

But on the other hand?  I love to plan.  I love to buy. {Notice how I left painting out? I mean, really... who the hell loves painting?}

Here's the story... We currently live in a 3 bedroom house.  One that we've remodeled {ourselves} from top to bottom. We do love our house, but we also realize that it is time to move.  So, when this baby is about 6 months old, we plan to put our house on the market.

Because the baby will stay in our room with us for the first 6 months or so anyway, the HGTV in me does not want to crowd either of the kids rooms with another bed.  I mean... it's all about staging, right?

So, until we move into a bigger house, this baby will be sticking with mama and daddy. I'm sure they will love that anyway :)

But I promise you, he/she will get a fabulous room when we move.  You have my word. =)

And I must also add, that I don't feel all that bad for this baby... he/she is coming in to a loving family.  They will have an older brother AND an older sister to look up too and that will adore them tremendously. They have two grandmoms, three aunties and one shopping-obsessed mama who will spoil them to death with new clothes.

So they may be going roomless for awhile, but they will be fed, loved and spoiled to no end.

And we sure can't wait to start.

Pregnancy: 25 weeks

Weight Gain: 15 pounds

Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty well, I just have trouble falling back asleep if I happen to wake up in the middle of the night {ahem, Brynn!}

Gender: We're team green, so we'll find out in September!

Names: Reid Joseph or Emerson Mae {see the name post here!}

Feeling: I have to admit, this week was a bit rough.  I'm having sharp pains just under my left rib.  I feel like something is poking into an organ {and it's not the baby.}  I started feeling it about Tuesday of last week and damn, is it painful {especially when I sneeze or cough, which I've been doing a lot lately because my allergies are awful!}  Good times.

Health:  My swelling has been getting bad lately. I've seen it much, much worse at the end of my other two pregnancies, but as soon as I started getting that tingling feeling in my fingers and toes it brought me right back to third tri with Carter and Brynn.  My BP was great at my last appt, so I hope that it's able to stay down for awhile longer... but this heat isn't helping.

I'm also a little nervous about my 5 hour flight tomorrow morning.  I'll be sure to get out of my seat and stretch my legs every hour or two and try to rest as much as I can.  We'll see how it goes...

Movement: This baby is a party animal and I'm starting to be able to pick out body parts as they dance across my belly!

Belly: Measuring about 2 weeks ahead right now, still no linea negra and my belly button has been out for awhile.

For comparison, here's my 25 week belly with Brynn!

Next Appointment: OB, Glucose Tolerance Test {again} & Ultrasound: Friday, June 22nd at 27w5d

You look beautiful as always, my friend. I can't believe you're this far along already. I'll probably say that every week until you have that sweet baby!

You look amazing! If we have a second baby, they might have to hang in our room for a little bit because then we would have to buy a new house.

Can't wait to meet you in Cali tomorrow!

You look great! We JUST moved my son Wyatt into his own room and he's 12 months - so your little one will be just fine! They'll love hanging out with you! :)

I'm saying this with a smile on my face and love in my heart, that is the biggest belly I've ever seen considering how many weeks your are. I've been following your weekly pics and love them but giggle at how your little body can carry all of that volume without toppling over.

We've had kids share our room for up to 2 years on some occasions, it all works out in the end.

You are definitely one of the cutest preggerz ever! I am jealous of your bump, though. I'm 19 weeks and you still can't even tell I'm preg when I wear a shirt. Sigh, grow belly grow! haha

My daughter is almost 4 months and she doesn't have a room. We live in a 3 bedroom (remodeled as well, though I hate mine LOL) but the 3rd room is Peter's office which he needs.

We would love to put our house on the market next year if we can sell and not lose money :-/

Our second daughter will chill in our room till then like yours. I did really miss the nursery decorating, but our first didn't even sleep in her room till she was almost 18 months. There was just no point this time :-) Not yet anyway...
