We were at my parents house for dinner and getting ready to leave. The kiddos were playing happily outside while we were talking to my dad and saying our good-bye's.
Just then, Carter ran up to me with the biggest smile on his face and said "Here mama, I got you flowers!"
I cried a little. I did. I couldn't help it.
He continued to bring 5 or 6 to me, one at a time, and then he would look up at me and smile after each one. He was so proud of himself.
Yes, I know they were just weeds... but to me? They were the most beautiful things I had ever seen.
He picked "flowers." For me. For the very first time.
{And they weren't my mom's newly planted petunias, whew.}
On our ride home he kept asking "Mama, do you love your flowers?"
Yes, yes I do Carter. More than you will ever know.
Happy Mother's Day everyone...
I hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with love!

This made me tear up. My son is just a few months younger than Carter and I look forward to moments like this.
Kendall just did the same thing on Wednesday night. She told me she was picking a lot of flowers for me for Mother's Day. This age is so much fun. :)
So Sweet!!
This warms my heart!
Oh, wow. What a post. This was really nice. I really need to go hug my chipmunks now.
How sweet! I can't wait for those moments...right now (my son is 13 months) my heart melts if I only get a kiss, or he touches my hand!!!
