This is seriously the perfect treat for all your summer BBQ's. It's light, delicious, and will certainly keep you cooler on a hot summer day =)
This pie can be made with either graham cracker and/or chocolate store bought crust, making this recipe one of the easiest to create. Ever. {Which is, of course, what I did... me being such an awesome cook and all.} Or you can get a little fancy and create a homemade crust that will be sure to knock their socks off. As for me? I'll stick to the 10 minute prep time, thankyouverymuch.Yes, this is really happening on here today.
Hope you're hungry. If not? You're going to be.
COOL WHIP Whipped Topping. I mean, you can add this stuff to just about anything and it instantly makes it better. COOL WHIP actually reminds me a lot of my childhood. My parents would always buy it and keep it in the freezer to add to special treats. Growing up, my favorite was always frozen COOL WHIP in hot chocolate. Mmmmm. And still today? I can't think of a better COOL WHIP treat. It's something I've continued in my house and certainly have Bob hooked. I'll be sure to hook the kiddos in too ;)
Though COOL WHIP in hot chocolate may be my fav, this Snickers Bar Pie sure does come close.
Snickers and COOL WHIP are basically two of my favorite things ever. So combining the two just seems to make sense. Right? Right.

Mmmm, that looks so yummy! I love making pies with cool whip, they're always tasty and easy :)
That looks delicious! I bet this could be made using Cool Whip lite! Think I'll try if for Easter :)
SO that looks freaking amazing and it makes 2!
This may make you lose your appetite:
"In 2006, the UK Food Commission highlighted celebrity chef Antony Worrall Thompson's "Snickers pie",which contained five Snickers bars among other ingredients, suggesting it was one of the unhealthiest desserts ever; one slice providing "over 1,250 kilocalories (5,200 kJ) from sugar and fat alone", more than half a day's requirement for an average adult. The pie had featured on his BBC Saturday programme some two years earlier and the chef described it as an occasional treat only." - Wikipedia
And not only that, but it is loaded with trans fats. Cool Whip is an awful product - it is so unnatural and made with hydrogenated oils, among other unhealthy things!! Processed PB also has trans fats.
I know "everything in moderation," but I would never eat this (nor feed it to my kids).
^^^ Was that really necessary? And too comment "anonymous" too?
Whatever, LOOKS GREAT TO ME!!!
I so should have read "Anonymous'" comment before I licked the PB spoon, beaters, and cool whip container....thank goodness I didn't sneak that itty bitty bite of Snickers I was thinking about!
This is the perfect (or worst according to some) recipe for that quick throw together dessert. Thanks for sharing!
