17 Weeks!

17w2
Shirt: Old Navy | Capri's: Motherhood Maternity

Is it just me or does 17 weeks sounds really pregnant? That's like "OMG, in 10 weeks I'll be in 3rd tri" pregnant. What. The. Hell. And I know 10 weeks sounds like a long time, but really? It's not. It will be here like... tomorrow.

In other non "oh my god this pregnancy is flying by" news, my anatomy scan? Next week. Monday to be exact. My next weekly pregnancy post will include ultrasound pictures of our (hopefully very) healthy baby. I am still super nervous. I just want everything to be okay. And I don't want the tech to slip and tell us what we're having. And I don't want to think I see something on the 50" plasma they hang on the wall in front of us in the ultrasound room. I'm sure everything will go perfectly and I have nothing to worry about, but until next Monday? Worry, I'm gonna.

So let's talk about something really exciting. On Saturday night? I felt the baby from the outside!! AHHHHH! I've been feeling little flicks and bumps since about 12 weeks, but I've been waiting to feel him/her from the outside for a few weeks now. Well, especially the last few days, the baby's kicks have been getting stronger. During a dance party session on Saturday night, I decided to just sit with my hand on my lower belly and 2 minutes later I felt a kick! Then I felt little rubs {let's call them snuggles, shall we? :} up against my hand too.

And then I died of the cute.

No really, this is my favorite part of pregnancy and I'm so excited I finally felt the baby from the outside. It won't be long before Bob can feel it soon too! EEEKKK!

Pregnancy: 17 weeks

Weight Gain: 4 pounds

Sleep: Sleep is still not a problem. I'm so tired. Like I tell Bob, growing a baby is hard work. Especially with two toddlers jumping on you.

Gender: We're team green, so we'll find out in September!

Names: Reid Joseph or Emerson Mae {see the name post here!}

Feeling: Feeling great! Just nervous, like I said. Fingers crossed for a healthy baby!

Health: Seems to be okay. I don't have any swelling or any other indications that my BP is high, so that's good. I'm living on Zantac, but that's to be expected. Overall, I'm feeling really good.

Movement: I felt the baby from the outside!!! =)

Belly: The belly seems to be growing again. It slowed down there for a bit, but it seems to have picked back up =) Oh, and my belly button is officially popped out!

Here's another shot from Easter yesterday...

For comparison, here's my 17w bump with Brynnie girl! {Awww, and it's from the day before we found out we were having a GIRL =}

Next Appointment: Ultrasound: Monday, April 16th at 18w1d | OB: Friday April 27th at 19w5d

I think this is my favourite belly shot so far. You are just beaming!!
With both my pregnancies I got more and more nervous as I got closer to the 20 week mark. It was "oh my god, we're half way through and I haven't even started getting ready".
