Y3W | Royal Wedding Whore

Or better known as RWW. And, no I'm not talking about Kate. I'm talking about me. And my sisters. And my mom. And {likely} many of you. ;)

Be honest... you love it. If you've succeeded in pretending that you didn't care at all about what went on this morning, then I don't believe you I salute you. But I also guarantee that you may have taken just a quick peek at her {stunning} dress.
Or the adorable balcony kiss...

But really? It's not just about that. It's the grandeur of it all. It's the passing of the guards, the carriage rides, the children's choir, and a true celebration of the royal family and the British people, as a whole. It's an awesome thing to experience and I'd be lying if I said that I didn't tear up a little when I saw David Beckham watching her walk down the aisle just before 6am this morning. {Yes, I woke up early to watch. What?}

So, I admit it. I'm a Royal Wedding Whore. Are you? Did you get up to watch the wedding this morning? Watch it online or look through pictures? DVR it for later? Be honest, people! {It's okay, this is a safe place.}

Oh, one last thing... and this is where we take our whoreness to the next level: we're having a royal wedding party tonight at my moms. My sisters, mom and I are watching the wedding, wearing hats, drinking wine, and soaking it all in. A little reception, if you will, to celebrate such a joyous occasion. Are we losers? Maybe. {Okay fine, yes.} But I'm super excited about it! =)

And I look better than Kate, right? No? Okay.

Grab a button and join the fun!

Have a great weekend everyone!

I truly appreciate and THANK YOU for your votes!

Oh my gosh me too. I woke up early to see it and now I'm watching the replay. Love it! I wish I had thought of it ahead of time and planned a viewing party. How fun that sounds.

Speaking of hats did you see all the different ones the guest were wearing? I couldn't get over it. I love the Brits and their hats!

Love it all! I could soak it up all day long!

I was pissed when I turned on the news this morning and couldn't watch my traffic and weather. I will admit I wanted to see her dress, and when everyone was watching at work - I saw the kiss. But I honestly could not watch this all day long - so boring.

I just don't understand our obsession with it? I guess because we have nothing like it. The party sounds fun! Especially the wine part.

I'll admit that I was all about it! I did TiVo it, so I can't wait to watch it tonight, when Henry goes to bed. I love everything about the grandeur of it all.
She looks amazing, very modern but also very 'royal'... She was stunning. Have a great time at your Royal party tonight...what a great idea :)

I LOL'ed IRL at this because I seriously could not care less about this wedding. But the first thing I did this morning was do a google search for a picture of her dress. :)

Yes, I was up (at 4:40 am) and super excited for it all! Yes I did have some tears in my eyes (blame it on menstrual cycle)! Her dress was beautiful and she wore it well!

Your party tonight sounds like a blast!

Are you kidding me?!? I seriously expected an invitation to the wedding since I am so into it all or at the least I should have covered the event for E. I had my hat all picked out.

Wish I were closer I would totally geek out with you for the party.

hahaha I totally agree! Add me to the RWW list! (I have to be a clost RWW though because everyone else in the family just rolls their eyes.) I love the reception/party idea!

I checked out her dress: which I thought was very timeless. ANd I might check out Harry bc I have a thing for redheaded men but that's about the extent of the royal thing for me.

I have been reading for a while now and just love your blog but to read today's post makes me love it even more. We're English and have loved watching the Royal Wedding from afar today and to read about how so many people in American have been doing the same is simply wonderful. Thank-you! And i hope you, your Mum and your sisters are having a great party xxxx

I'm at least intrigued by the wedding. It was on at 4am here, so no, I did not get up for it. I need all the sleep I can get! ;)

Did you design the "Meet Isaac Matthew" announcement? We used an announcement that was nearly identical for the birth of our son in March 2010 that we ordered from a website. The spacing was just a little different. Do you design them for websites?

I admit, I didn't get up early to watch it. I did, however, DVR the heck out of it! I also watched some clips online. So I guess that makes me a RWW-wannabe??

Oh, and your own little reception tonight?? Too cute!

I am totally re-watching right now! I am going to struggle if I have to delete this from the DVR anytime soon!!

I'm right there with you! I flipped on the TV first thing this morning just in time to catch the vows (landing me late for work). This evening I coaxed my hubby into watching it with me on the DVR. Have fun tonight!

I loved it!! She looked absolutely stunning. Although, I didnot get up at 4am, I did DVR it and we watched at work, starting from 8am on. Everything was beautiful...and the hats were to die for!

I wish I was having a royal party tonight, sounds like fun...I am sure you, your mom and sisters are having a blast!

I live in Alaska, and I was up till almost 3:00 watching the Wedding. I admit that I passed out before the fabulous balcony kiss...BUT I did record about 12 hours of it and watched bits and pieces today. I'll probably continue to watch well into next week. :)
