Your Three Words

My baby girl turned 1 month old yesterday!! I can't believe how fast it's going.

Again.

Poor little Miss Brynn has a clogged tear duct in her left eye, which you can kind of see in the picture above {it's closed a little more then her right eye.} We keep cleaning it out and massaging the tear duct to try to get it to open, but we might have to go to an antibiotic eye gel soon. Carter had 2 clogged tear ducts when he was 2 weeks old and it broke my heart. I remember crying on the couch and calling the pedi on a Sunday to see what was wrong with him.

Now that this is baby #2, I haven't called the pedi yet, there were no tears on my end, and I knew exactly what to do to fix it.

It's much easier to be a mom this time around =)

I tried to get a few pictures of Brynn in her "1 month" onesie, but she kept covering it up with her hands =)
This is just about the only picture I could get that she wasn't making a funny face, crying, or covering herself...Brynn is getting so big! I'm going to take each of her "month" pictures on the glider next to her pillow so I can see exactly how big she is getting. It's nice to have something to compare it too. I know in her 2 week picture that I have of her in that same spot, she barely cleared the top of the pillow! Now she's taller than it. Awwww.

Well, throughout this last month I've noticed that she is awake a lot more lately, which I love. She loves to snuggle up against her mama and look up at me with her big blue eyes. It literally melts my heart.

Miss Brynn is in complete awe of her big brother and just stares, smiles, and talks to him all day long. Carter loves to help feed his sister, give her her blanket or binkie when she needs them, and give her lots of kisses and "hugs" {and I say "hugs" because it's usually a light head bump... poor girl.}

As for me, I'm doing well. Recovery has been A LOT easier this time. My weight is holding steady at 1 pound under my pre-pregnancy weight, which is good. I'm looking forward to working out and starting some sort of diet. My 6 week check-up is next Thursday {I'm actually 6 weeks post partum on July 5th, which is a holiday, so my appt is a little early!} so I look forward to talking to my doc about some question that I have and just getting checked out to make sure everything is okay!

Oh, and in case you were wondering, the "1 month" onesie is actually just a round sticker that you can put on any plain white onesie. I bought them from Picky Sticky. Happy shopping!

Happy 1 month to my baby girl! We love you more then you will ever know.

It's hard to believe our babies are growing so fast!

Both of mine had/have clogged tear ducts too. I remember being so panicked the first time around because I had no idea what it would turn into. But with molly, I know it should fix itself in no time.

Thanks so much girls... I think I'll keep her =)

@ Lacey- Sigh... it's going so fast, right?? Good luck with your baby girl's tear duct as well! I'm also hoping it clears up on it's own.

@ Sara- Thanks hun! I got the pillow on Ebay from the store Sofia Bedding Co.

Mady had a clogged tear duct off and on until she was 9 months! It SUCKED! It actually developed the day before she started daycare and I was freaking that she had pink eye and wouldn't be able to go!

Time is flying by so much faster this time! I wish their wassome way to slow it down!

Okay so I should NOT have found your blog at 12 am when I should be working but I'm now hooked and am desperately trying to catch up...I had to tell you that Kylie ALSO had a clogged tear duct in her right eye. I tried everything for the first couple of months and then the dr. told me not to worry about it and let it run it's course. It lasted until she was about 18 months but then fixed itself. But I totally remember her right eye ALWAYS crying! I forgot all about it until I read your post! Even now, at almost 4, when it's really cold or windy out her right eye will start to pour! Poor thing she always says to me, "mama!! I can't stop my eye from crying"! I remember crying about it multiple times when she was a baby, and now? I totally forgot about it! SO funny how life works like that, right?! Brynn is adorable and I love the idea of the onesies...I may have to borrow that! xoxo
