LOST Recap

Dr. Linus
I apologize for my lack of LOST posts, I just really don't know how I feel about this season. The reason why I love LOST is because it is all questions. I don't like the answers and I think they're giving too much away. I know most people do want the answers, but that's really not they're style.

Here's what I thought about last night:
  • I miss Sawyer.
  • I felt bad for Ben. Especially when Hurley and Jack came back to the beach. He just looked so sad standing there.
  • I was waiting for Flocke/Smokey to come get his ass when he chose to follow Ilana instead of going to find Flocke. Especially after he helped him escape and lead him to the riffle.
  • I like how Ben choose his "daughter" over his career as a principal. Makes you think that decisions in the alternate time line are people correcting what went wrong on the island for them. (Maybe the things they're sorry for/regret.)
  • Ben and Alex were studying the East India Trading Company and the Charter Act of 1813. That ship looks an awful lot like the Black Rock, does it not?
  • Richard clearly came to the island on the Black Rock. He said he hadn't been back there since he arrived on the island.
  • I love love that the dynamite didn't explode and Jack said "want to try another stick?"
  • I'm not sure why Richard officially hates Jacob now. Any ideas?
  • I guess everyone that Jacob "touched" can not die? Or maybe just can't kill themselves?
  • I hated the end with the sub/Widmore. Sigh.
But the season is still very "blah" to me. Thoughts?

Totally didn't catch the black rock picture in the history book! Nice one!

So...in the Alt-Universe...Ben's taking care of his Dad, who mentions the Dharma initiative. That means that they got off the island, and it disappeared before Rousseau's boat had the chance to crash there right?

I think Richard hates Jacob because he feels misled, disappointed and lost *haha*

I miss Sawyer too :(

@ Shan- That's what I gather? He went to the island to work for Dharma and then left. I wonder what caused him/them to leave? It had to be before Rousseau's expedition b/c Alex is at the school (which I love!)

I am hugely confused after last night - though I was pretty darn tired when it was on.

Widmore has got to be the name at 108 degrees...right? I mean...that makes sense...or is he stalking the island?!

yes, I actually do not look forward to watching it (although I still do) b/c this season just pisses me off.

@ Shan- I'm thinking Desmond maybe?? I have no clue! Widmore is a good guess too.

@ Cati- We've watched all these seasons, it's like we HAVE to finish watching it now, lol.

I'm so lost(no pun intended) this season!!!!! I have been a faithful watcher since the very first episode and honestly I cannot wrap my head around everything that has gone on/is happening right now! Nothing makes sense to me! I almost don't even care to watch it anymore except for the fact that I've invested all these years watching it! UGGGGGHHHHH!

I'm just taking it as it comes, and enjoying what answers we do get. However, my husband completely agrees with you that this season is "Blah."

(We just caught up on this episode and the following one last night. DH does feel that things are starting to get a bit more interesting again.)

I think all the alternate time line scenes are throwing me off. I just can't figure out what they mean, and I really hope that somehow the two storylines will tie together!
