19 Weeks

Half-Baked? Maybe. At 19 weeks with Carter I was unknowingly half-baked at this point {recap: he was born 2 weeks early because I had pre-e and an obviously huge monster baby that my doc didn't want getting even bigger than his 9.5lb, 21.5in self.} Wow, that was the shortest recap ever. So, yep... 19 weeks. And possibly at the half-way point of this pregnancy which is absolutely mind-blowing to me.

Just a quick update on Brynn's heart: we still don't know anything. Wow, that was pretty short too. I guess there were good and bad points about having a Christmas ultrasound, huh? The good thing was that we got to see our baby before Christmas and find out that she was, in fact, a girl. But the bad part was that the office has been closed for 2 out of the 5 work days for the last TWO weeks! Not their fault though, Christmas and New Year's are pretty big holiday's so I understand. ;)

I did call over to my doctor's office this morning and left a message with her just to ensure that the paperwork was sent over to the hospital for my level II ultrasound. She called me back about 30 mins later confirming that it was and gave me the number of the place I was suppose to go too. Of course, I called right away, only to have them answer the phone, put me on hold for TWENTY minutes, and then tell me that they never got my paperwork from my doctor. Good times. I called my doc back right away and left another message. I'll tell you what, this is fun. :(

While on the phone with my doc earlier, I did ask her again what she thought the spot might be and she confirmed what I said in my last post, a "cardiac echogenic focus." She didn't seem too concearned and she said that it often doesn't show up on the level II ultrasound. Oh God, please let me be in that group.

I'll keep you posted as to when I'll finally get in to have that ultrasound. I'm crossing my fingers that it will be this week. Thank gawd for no more holiday's! {You don't hear me say that much. If ever.}

Okay, here we go...
Pregnancy: 19 weeks

Weight Gain: Up 5 total, so far.

Sleep: This is a bad day to write about sleep. I was, and still am, sleeping really well. But this morning, Carter decided that 4am was a great time to get up. He fell back asleep cuddling with me, which was wonderful, but I could NOT fall back asleep! I'm so tired today!!

Gender: Girl

Name: Brynn Sophia

Feeling: Feeling great and trying to stay positive!

Health: Doing pretty well. If I sit for long periods of time, my ribs start hurting really bad, but it's not too bad yet. Still popping those Zantac for the Acid Reflux.

Movement: I felt her for the first time from the outside!!!! YAY!! I was so excited! Of course I've been feeling her move around a lot, but never from the outside. Well on Saturday, Bob, my parents, and I headed to the movies to see Sherlock Holmes {ummm, 2 hours of RDJ and Jude Law... yes, please!} and I could really feel her moving around in there during the movie {just like Carter!!} So I put my hand on my belly and she kicked me! I got so excited, but I couldn't really show it since it was mid-movie =) But YAY!

Belly: Belly button is out for good and still no stretch marks! I think it's slowing in growth though for sure. Just getting nice and round and hard.

Next Appointment: January 20th at 21w4d {but level II u/s before this}

Jenni-
Praying for you and your family that Brynn's heart is healthy and I am sure everything will be perfect when you go for your level II u/s.
PS-you look fantastic!

So sorry to hear about Brynn’s u/s and that you are still waiting to get in to have your level II scheduled. Emma had a choroid plexus cyst (a marker for Trisomy 18) at her 19 wk. u/s (that they didn’t tell me about for a WHOLE month!) and I was a nervous wreck. I had another u/s around 27 wks. and the cyst was gone and Emma looked great!! Keeping you and baby Brynn in my thoughts and prayers. {{Hugs}}

p.s. I LOVE her name. So pretty!
