12 weeks!

I forgot to post this last week, so I'm doing it now... don't mind me ;)

{Shirt: Old Navy | Shorts: Target}

It's been kind of a crazy week this week {did you hear my oldest baby is FIVE??}, so let's just dive right into the questions, shall we?...

Pregnancy: 12 weeks

Weight Gain: 1 pound

Sleep: Good this week.  Except for that time that I woke up in the middle of the night to pee and then couldn't fall back asleep as I thought of what other schools Carter could attend when he gets expelled from kindergarten in the fall.  {What? Those are totally normal thoughts for a mom of a rowdy 5 year old to be having at 3am, right?}

Gender: We find out August 30th at 18w1d!

We're actually thinking about doing a gender reveal photo session with the lovely Steph right after the anatomy scan.  Steph asked me about it last week, and while I wasn't really sure at first, the more I think about it, the more I get excited about finding out together as a family, with the kiddos there. Since this is our last baby and all.  {What?  IT IS.}

So maybe just the balloons in a box idea because I'm literally so drained that I can't think of anything better.  The kids will like it, so that's all that matters. I don't really want to do the cake thing, the pinata thing, the confetti or paint or silly string thing.  Sigh.  And all of my creative energy is being sucked in to Reid and Aubrey's first birthday party {more details coming soon!!} that I literally can NOT think of anything else.

So balloons in a box it is.  Unless... ya know... you want to think of something for me.  And then buy all the stuff. And then set it up at the park.  And then await our arrival after the ultrasound.  {Awww, you will???  Thanks! Can you pick out outfits too?  You're the best.}

{I'm talking to myself an awful lot in this post. Ahem.}

Names: Coming soon!

Feeling: Pretty good this week, except I broke my toe falling UP the stairs last weekend.  Good times.  It's all bruised and gross {and it messed up my pedicure!!} and there's really not a damn thing that I can do about it.  Not even take advil.  Or, ya know... drink wine.  Grr.

Health:  Fine! I've been feeling a little light-headed and out of breath with this heat, but I'm just staying hydrated and sitting down when I need too. {Ha, yeah right.}

Movement: I've been feeling the baby a few times a day for the last 2 weeks now {YAY!}, but I have to admit, I'm a little worried lately.  On Saturday morning, I was laying with Brynn and she accidentally kneed me really hard under my belly. And I haven't felt the baby move since.  Now I know how very well protected the baby is in there and that crap like that happened to me constantly when I was pregnant with Reid and he was fine.  And I realize it's early and sporadic movement is normal.  But still.  Strange coincidence, huh?  I so desperately WANT to feel the baby just to help me stop thinking about this crazy stuff. So, come on baby... move it in there!

Belly: I just took my 13w belly pic {remember, I'm posting this late} and compared it to my 13w with Reid... Wow.  I'm much bigger this time.  Andalso?  Lower, like whoa.  I'll show you in my 13w post in a few days.

But, for comparison, here are my side-by-side weekly belly pics with Reid.

Next Appointment: OB Appointment: My birthday!... Friday, August 9th at 15w1d.  What a nice litle birthday present for myself, right??  Maybe I can convince Bob to take off from work with me and then take me out to lunch after my appointment :)  Next ultrasound: Friday, August 30th at 18w1d {my anatomy scan!!!}

Aw I really wanted to do a family reveal photo but my husband will be working in New York when I go to my anatomy scan in a few weeks so I have to think of something else lol. Anyone say pinterest lol?! I'll probably just end up buying some pink or blue newborn shoes and taking a picture of it by the ultrasound picture. I honestly can't think of anything else that's been overdone. :(

I hope your toe heals up soon!

I know how you feel though. My almost 3 year old has been sleeping with me since my husband has been in CA and she flipped over one night and kicked me in the stomach so hard I was cramping for a bit. I wasn't feeling any movement before that either so I was really worried. Went to my OB at around 14 weeks and everything was fine. So try not to stress too much. ;)

Hmm, for outfits...maybe each kid dress in their gender - girls in pink, boys in blue...or you could just do white t-shirts with a ? mark on them. You can make w/fabric (like the old sorority days) or just use a black magic marker. Or do tie dye shirts and let the kids pick which gender they think it is, and tie dye in that color...so if Carter thinks it's a boy - he wears blue etc.

When we did our gender reveal, we had our doctor put the results in an envelope. Then we went to a baby clothing store and picked out a boy outfit and a girl outfit that were the same price. We told the cashier to open the envelope and wrap the corresponding outfit while we waited outside. Our cashier was awesome and even gift wrapped it for us. Then we paid for the outfit and brought it home. We let our kids open it at the gender reveal party. It was really fun and we came out with some cute pictures.
For outfits for my other kids, I was super boring and stuck them in some cute big bro/sis shirts.
