So I'm well into my weight loss journey and I hit a very special milestone this past week... I'm down a notch in my belt. WOOT! The next notch {not this one, but the next one} is the skinniest I've ever been with this belt {which is my 30 pound weight loss the last time I completed Medifast} so I was super excited about this non-scale victory.
But, like those on a weight loss journey know, it's the scale that we always focus on {hey, it is what it is} and this week I'm only down a pound. I was hoping for a -2 pound week to make up for not losing anything last week, but that's just not the way it worked out. Oh well. I guess I was also really hoping for a -2 pound week because that would mean that I hit my first weight loss goal of -10 pounds, and that would just be amazing.
I'm almost there. Almost.
But despite only losing a pound, I'm happy about my progress this week. I feel like I'm making better choices and really getting in to the Medifast swing of things. I'm also trying to focus on the non-scale victories too, because they are every bit important as the numbers on the scale.
This week I wanted to share with you one of the new Medifast commercials that I just LOVE. Seriously, every time I watch it, I tear up. So I just thought I'd post it on here so that everyone else that is interested in it, could see it as well.
It's such a beautiful commercial and I think it speaks to so many of us. The "good job" at the end?... that gets me every. single. time.
So, how is everyone else doing on their diet plans this week? I'd love to hear from you and/or have you share a link to your most recent post!

Week 5 Summary
Weight loss this week: -1 pounds
Weight loss to date: -9 pounds
Weight loss to date: -9 pounds
Weight left to lose: 21 pounds
First Goal: 10 pounds
- Reward: Mani/Pedi
Second Goal: 20 pounds
- Reward: Massage
Final Goal: 30 pounds
- Reward: Head-to-Toe new outfit!
Success: Dropping down a notch in my belt!
Set-Backs: Weekends are still hard for me, but I'm working through it and trying to stay focused!
Exercise: I think I'm going to start the 30 Day Shred again. It's just hard finding TIME to do it. I'm going to start walking during my lunch breaks though because then it's almost like "free time" and I need to take advantage of that. If I could get away with doing the 30DS in my office over lunch, I totally would. But I think I'd get annoyed with putting my work clothes back on after working out. Sweats are totally okay in the work place, right? RIGHT?

Great job on the loss this week! I actually gained a pound which totally has me bummed. I am trying not to focus on it, but, as you noted, we always focus on that darn scale. I'm really hoping the pound is bloat from the pizza I ate on Sunday or PMS...LOL.
I did however exercise almost every day this week, so that is a small victory. I have been doing POP Pilates or Blogilates (google it or find her on YouTube). The videos are short, but hard and the kids actually play when I do them or sometimes join in. Cassey (the instructor) has much more personality that Jillian, in my opinion, and it makes me much more motivated. She has a TON of videos too so I don't feel like I am always doing the same thing.
You are doing amazing!!! Almost there! You will make it happen this week for sure!
Ramblings of a Suburban Mom
I started waking up 30 minutes early exercising, before I get dressed for work!!
Great job so far...keep it up!
My baby girl is 8 weeks and I am considerably older than you, so I have that working against me in the weight loss department. ugh.
I begrudgingly ride my Spin bike while she naps and go for long stroller walks when it's not too cold (which is not much lately, we live in PA). Otherwise, my husband and I tag team on the weekends so I can run. My mom babysat yesterday so I could go for an actual bike ride in the woods...it felt amazing.
I HATE working out indoors, so I am not stressing about exercise right now. I know the weight will come off when Springtime hits.
