Y3W: Do over moment.

*****
Do over moments.  We all have them.

I actually have so many that it's hard to narrow it down to just one.  But this story does make me laugh every time I think about it. {You know, it's the kind of story that when you randomly think about it in the middle of a work meeting, you start smiling and/or laughing and everyone thinks you're crazy?  Yeah, that.}  So I thought I'd share this with you as well, so then everyone can see what an idiot I am {or at least how lack of sleep can have a detrimental effect on your ability to function as a human being.}

Again, let me preface this story by saying that I was on about 3 hours of sleep at the time due to Carter's breathing treatments for RSV that he had when he was 5 months old. {Poor baby!}  But 3 hours of sleep does a lot to your work day... let me tell ya.  Sometimes a coffee IV just isn't enough.

So, yeah. {I know, I'm still an idiot.}

Okay, here we go...

We shall title this story "Street Name."
One afternoon Kacy and I headed to The Bank {I'm not kidding, that's the name of "the bank"} straight after work. I just needed to cash a check, so we went through the drive thru. I signed the check, put it in the holder and sent it on it's way. We waited for like 3-4 minutes until the bank teller finally came over to help us.

After the teller finally reviewed my info and started putting things into their computer system, this is how our conversation went:

Teller: Hi Jennifer, can I please have your street name?
Me: Excuse me?
Teller: Your street name?
Me: ::::blank stare:::
Teller: :::waiting::::
Me: :::looking over at Kacy::: I don't understand what she's asking.
Kacy: Your street name, Jenn, like your address. What do you think she means... your street name... like yo, yo, yo J-Zizzle.
Me: :::dies:::

Yes, I might be an idiot, but who the hell says "street name"???  Why wouldn't she ask me for my address!?!

If you already have a child, you can certainly understand how extremely difficult questions like this can be after 3 hours of sleep, an 8 hour work day, and an hour commute home.  But first time moms? See what you have to look forward too??

Street name.  Yep.

So this is my do over moment.  Unlike my idiotic story, the Frigidaire Gallery™Dishwasher gets dishes fully cleaned the first time, so there are no dish do-overs. Nearly half of adults admit to re-washing and/or re-drying dishes after the dishwasher cycle has been completed. To prevent dishwasher do-overs, Frigidaire® is stepping in with its new Gallery® Dishwasher featuring the OrbitCleanTM Wash Arm, ensuring dishes are cleaned right the first time.

But, after thinking more about it, ya know what?  I don't know that I would actually do anything different, even if I had the chance.  The amount of laughs I've gotten out of it, really has made my stupidity totally worth it.

xoxo.

OK, when I was reading the story and you said she asked for you street name I took the same route you did. I guess I watch too many true crime documentaries when they ask witnesses if they know the suspects street name. So, in MY opinion you're not an idiot ;)
