WW: Fun at the Zoo!

On Thursday, Brynn's actual birthday, we took the kiddos to the Philadelphia Zoo for the very first time {but certainly not the last, since we invested in an annual pass! :}  The verdict?  LOVE.  They absolutely loved it. Carter's favorite animal was the giraffe's while Brynnie just adored the polar bears.  It was a lovely day. See...

Carter got offended when Brynn called the gorilla a monkey.  Because, duh!

The kiddos loved the swans!

The gorgeous giraffe's!

By far the highlight of the day.  This polar bear was amazing and swam right up to the window.  So gorgeous!  Brynn kept yelling "HI BEAR!!"

Monkey's, zebra's, rhino's... oh my!
Zoo8

That tiger was hungry... it kept pacing by the gate where it obviously gets fed.  So fierce. Also, some flamingo's, a waterfall that the kids LOVED, and a hungry giraffe =)

And then?  Down pour.

Although it did rain on our little parade, we were getting ready to leave anyway, so it was really no big deal {except to Carter Man, who wanted to ride on the train!}  We waited out the pouring rain under an awning {with a few Capri Suns, Cheez-its and cheese sticks, of course!} and then as soon as it slowed down, we headed home with two very sleepy kids.

All in all, I think Brynnie had an amazing 2nd birthday and Carter Man can't wait to head back to the zoo for his birthday in July.  I just hope I can make it more than two feet without passing out, needing a break and/or turning into a swelling pregnant balloon at that point.  It'll be awesome. ;)

SUCH cute pictures - that polar bear is amazing, but of course the kiddo pics are the best. I love taking my kids to the zoo; their enthusiasm is almost worth the aching feet (though it's been a long time since I attempted it while pregnant - so, good for you)!

we have a philly zoo pass as well(the contributor pass w/ 2 other families!) well worth the money esp when the parking is free whenever you go & bringing guests is an added plus! Happy Birthday Brynn!

To make nouns plural (monkeys, hippos, zebras, rhinos, etc.) you just need to add an "s". No need for an apostrophe. You aren't saying that the animals owned or possessed anything, just that there were multiple animals. :) Your blog is great!
