For some reason, I'm just not one of those girls that can walk around with a big ol' belleh and no ring on my left finger. Now, I'm not judging. I don't care if others do it and frankly I don't even really notice. But for me? It's just easier to buy a fake ring than it is to go without one. Why, do you ask? Well the thing is... I work on a college campus. I deal with a lot of parents and even more students. This fake ring on my finger? Helps everyone see that I did not get knocked up at the local frat house.
{Even as I walked past a college tour this morning, I swear I saw every parent in the group stare at my belly and then immediately at my left hand. I may or may not have even seen a dad grabbing his daughter like I was contagious. I just may have.}
So yay, a new fake ring! They're always so fun to pick out, I think. This year, I totally copied my big sister, Kristi, and went with this beauty from Overstock...
How cute is that!?! While I do always get so sad when the day comes that I have to take my real rings off and put them on the sidelines for a few months {stupid pregnancy swelling!} this beauty sure does make it a little easier for me to handle!
{Ohh, do you like my new pink pedi? ;}
So yeah, I'm a fake. For now. And I'm okay with that =)
Have a great weekend everyone!

The ONLY time I've been self conscious about being pregnant and unmarried was when I had to go back to my old college campus, it's a Christian campus and I don't think I've ever felt more judged. When I had my kids and had to go back, I switched one of my rings to my left hand.
My fingers were so swollen I had to do the same thing. I think people always "Check".
What an awesome idea! Definitely keeping that in my memory bank for next time :) (Gonna go big - like Brangelina big :) )
I'm with you, I have to have rings on my left ring finger when pregnant! Love the set you picked! Great price too!
That is a great idea! I wore mine on a necklace, but that was annoying and heavy. I'm totally going this route for #2! :) Have a great weekend!
Dude I did the same thing when I was preggo with Bennett!! Go girl :)
Those rings are cute!! I work on a college cmapus to (a catholic one at that) so I did the same thing. I would never notice if a female were wearing rings or not if she is pregnant. Shouldn't it be general consensus that pregnant women suffer from swelling and therefore no longer can fit her wedding rings??
i love this idea!
great idea! don't know why i never thought of that. Lol. i know a lot of people where there rings on a necklace chain but i didn't. i felt like i would look in the mirror and my rings would magically be missing. crazy. anyway, this would have helped me out a lot when i was pregnant with my daughter. i was working at an orthodontic office at the time and when i could no longer wear my ring, i got tons of side looks from the new patient moms.
good to know for next time!!
I love it. I was out of my rings much quicker last time, so still going strong at 21 weeks! Nuts. I am not thinking they will fit much longer though. How did you guess the size?
Ha, I have never even thought of this before. I just wore my rings on a chain around my neck once they no longer fit last time. I might have to look into this because it seems much more fun ;)
