Y3W | Vacation or Staycation?

That is the question.

Sorry I keep talking about this, but it's extremely upsetting. No one wants a hurricane to ruin not only their vacation plans, but destroy people's homes with damaging winds and flooding in the process. It's awful.

With Irene continuing to get worse and worse, it looks like this will be more of a staycation than a vacation. We've already planned out a few things we can do next week as a family, including:
  • Philadelphia Zoo
  • Baltimore Harbor & Aquarium
  • Washington DC
  • Ocean City, NJ {if it's still in tact}
We're trying to make the best of it, and while all those things sound lovely to do as a family, it still doesn't beat living ocean front for a week in a gorgeous house with your favorite people in the world.

Sigh.

I need more coffee. And a box of tissues. :(

I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, I have AMAZING guest bloggers scheduled for next week. With this storm, I have more time on my hands to set everything up over the weekend before we {hopefully} leave.

Have a lovely weekend everyone and STAY SAFE east coasters.

You're continued support is amazing. xoxo

i'm with ya on the box of tissues. however, i feel a bottle of wine may have the same effect. we can start that immediately as we are technically on vacation with no inappropriate time to start.

I'm so sorry :( we live about 20 minutes from Baltimore! If you do make it up this way I would go to the Washington DC zoo. It's much better than the Baltimore Zoo and it's free!! That Harbor is beautiful though. Good luck and maybe whore bag Irene will have a change of heart!

That really sucks. I have been thinking about you guys. I would be totally bummed too. Stay safe and make the best of your staycation. At least you have a week off work with your beautiful babes. That's what counts ;) Have a great one!

I'm sorry that Irene is ruining your wonderful vacation. I know staying home isn't the same but if that's what you have to do, it sounds like you'll make the best of it. Still holding out hope for you, that you are able to enjoy that beach house--even if its not for the whole week.

As ads suppers to be going to OCNJ for the week but who knows if we'll get down there and when. I'm sad with you!

I'm sad for you all. The good news is you are off work (yahoo) AND you can drink wine daily (umm...it's vaca. it's allowed!). I hope EVERYONE stays safe!

How about bring the Family south to Florida?! For once the hurricane is leaving us alone and it will be sunny and beautiful all week along the coasts. Otherwise, stay safe and be sure the family is prepared for the hurricane aftermath (no electricity, water etc.) Thats always the worst part!

Ugggghhhhhhh, such a bummer! :( So sorry you are missing part of your vacation. I hope you are able to get down to OBX on Monday or Tuesday and enjoy sone time with your family. How sucky........ I can only imagine. Stay safe and I'm sending positive vibes and thoughts that Irene weakens and becomes WAY less of a deal than all these weather forecasters are making her out to be! ((((((((((hugs)))))))))!!!!! :)
