Y3W| I've got GOAL{s}

IMG_8184edit2
ETA: My dress is from The Limited {it's Kacy's!} and it has POCKETS. Amazing.
I've been in love with it since she bought it and now? It fits.

You guys? I did it.

Perhaps horizontal stripes weren't the best decision for this picture but damn it I LOST 30 POUNDS! And it took less than 5 months to do it. {Thank you Medifast!}

Ya know, when I envisioned myself losing 30 pounds, I thought I'd (1) cry my eyes out when I finally reached my goal and (2) look similar to what I did when I weighed this exact weight before {I had kids.}

Neither came true.

No, I didn't cry yesterday morning when I stepped on the scale to see a number that I haven't seen in almost 5 years. I just felt... relieved. And proud. And excited. I was so glad to finally be at the weight I had dreamed about for so long.

Now, do I look the same as I did when I weighed exactly this same weight before?

Hell no.

But? I'm happy. I'm happy with the way I look. My belly may still look like it housed two 9+ pound babies, but ya know what? IT DID. And I'm proud of that.

I feel good.

As for the weight loss, I've probably seen the most change in my belly {above my belly button... below it has always been a problem area for me} my legs {especially my thighs} my boobs {of course... because every smallish-chested woman wants to lose weight in her boobs too} and my arms. Overall, I think everything just looks leaner. Now it's time to firm up. I need to start working out more now that I'm at my ideal weight. Yes, this may cause me to gain, but I'm okay with that.

And I'm sure many of you are wondering "well, what happens now?" And my answer to you is this: Medifast is awesome. They're not leaving me high and dry now that I've reached my goal. I'm going in to what's called "transition" and then "maintenance" which are programs to help me maintain my weight while gradually reintroducing additional healthy foods and increase my calories to meet my body's calorie requirement for weight maintenance. I'll work with my nutritionist {Hi Matthew!} to discuss what my best options are now that I've reached my goal. Yep... I told you they were awesome.

Lastly, I want to thank you, my readers. For keeping me motivated. For keeping me accountable. For keeping me focused. You guys keep telling me that I'm an inspiration to you, but really? It's the other way around. And I can never thank you enough for sticking with me through this journey. You're seriously the best. Thank you!

EEEKKK! I lost 30 pounds!!!

And if anyone wants to donate to the "I lost 30 pounds now give me my damn Coach purse" fund... let me know.

YAY!!! Way to go! :D :D :D :D :D And just think even if you gain "numbers" while working out, it's actually just muscle and therefore no biggie :) Don't be a slave to the scale now. Head into your maintenance time knowing you are going to learn how to eat so well and that you are healthy :) :) Congrats! Just in time for BlogHer :) :) And YAY new bag <3 heehee!

You're so beautiful and such an inspiration to us mamas (especially those of us who have "housed" 9 lb babies). I think I'm happier for you that I would be for myself! lol.
