Sprinkled

Though they tend to call small, intimate baby showers for a second child a "sprinkle"... I think I've officially been "down poured" {as my mom put it!}

My wonderful family and friends threw a surprise sprinkle on Saturday for baby girl and it was beautiful. It was held at my sister's house where they had a TON of food, hot pink and black decorations everywhere {including the M&M's!} and more gifts then I've ever seen. It was so nice to spend time with everyone and their out right generosity ceases to amaze me. I have the best family ever!

Though I don't have any pictures to share with you right now from the actual sprinkle {my sister has them on her camera} I can tell you that a crown and hot pink boa were worn. Yep. They made me do it.

I do have a few "after" pictures of just how much stuff we got though...
As you can see, the poor child will have nothing to wear.

Not only is her closet packed with adorableness, but her drawers are starting to fill up too.

If you look closely, at the bottom of the closet is a big basket full of diapers and wipes {YAY!!!} and a few girl toys {which look so odd to me because I'm use to boy toys!} In the baskets on the middle shelf are a few crib sheets, lots of baby shampoo and lotions, and more toys for her. And at the very top are 2 big canvas bins full of blankets and other fun stuff.

She's so spoiled already.

Some of my favorite gifts of the day were the homemade blankets {they're the BEST, aren't they!?!} embroidered bibs with her name/initial, the beautiful clothes, all the diapers and wipes, and the Matchbox Cars, Handy Manny toy and Tee Ball set that my Carter Man received {so thoughtful!} Also, my wonderful mother-in-law got me a ton of presents including a gift card for the Spanx bathing suit that I want!!!! So sweet!

Oh yeah, and I got this...
The Baby Jogger City Mini double stroller.
It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

... and it folds so easily!
Thank you SO MUCH Mom!!! Carter keeps asking to sit in it, so I'm guessing he likes it too =)

Oh, and one last thing...
The BabyMel diaper bag I wanted! Although it's smaller in person then we thought it would be, it's so so so adorable!! I'm going to put some things in it and see just how much it can hold. There are a ton of pockets and it seems like it would be easy to keep clean, so I want to make it work if I can =) Thanks Kacy!!!
Not only did I have a sprinkle with family and friends this past weekend, but last week my coworkers threw me a baby sprinkle as well!! I was so surprised... they really got me! We had lunch and yummy cake {thanks Elle!} They all put their money together and got me a Babies R Us gift card and then a few of my coworkers made things for the baby {a beautiful blanket and lots of hats... I LOVE HATS!}

So a BIG HUGE thank you to everyone! We are very lucky to have you all in our lives.

{And I'm happy to report that we took all of our gift cards to Babies R Us yesterday to get a few last minute things that we needed.... and baby girl now has a crib mattress. She will no longer be sleeping on a box spring in her crib. Just thought you, and the Division of Youth and Family Services, should know.}

Sounds wonderful! I can't believe that closet! I think life with a girl is going to be so much different than life with a boy. In a good way, of course!

I love your stroller and diaper bag!

Not much longer now and you'll be using all of it!

A sprinkle! I just love it. I've never even heard of a second "shower" being called that. Looks like you really racked up! I'm super jealous of that stroller and the diaper bag. Congrats Mama!

That was so thoughtful of your family, friends and coworkers! It looks you are officially ready for your baby girl (now that you have that crib mattress!).

Good luck with your labor and delivery. You are only a couple of weeks away from meeting your little girl!
