Remember my sweet little 4 month old from last Christmas? The one that fell asleep right before we got to the front of the line to see Santa? Ya know, this little angel child...
Well he is long gone.
This past weekend, we took Carter to see Santa. I knew this would be a bad year for him, but I guess I couldn't really predict exactly how he would react when forced to sit on a strange man's lap.
Now, he liked Santa from afar. While standing in front of the line watching Ben and Grace, he was actually laughing at Santa. When it came to our turn, he ran over to him. But, when he got within 3 feet, he stopped dead in his tracks and just stared. I then gently placed him on Santa's lap.
Bad idea.
And my all-time favorite...
Now, am I a mean mom for totally loving these pictures???

Yeah, BIG FAT FAIL for the santa visit this year. Landon screamed bloody murder the entire time. I was so disappointed but you can't blame him. Santa is a stranger to them. Can't wait until they "get" the concept!
Hilarious! A coworker of mine has a son who was Carter's age last year and he had the exact same reaction to Santa. So they sent out Christmas cards with their son screaming on Santa's lap, with the caption "Wishing you peace and joy this holiday season"
Best. Christmas Card. Ever.
I think these pictures are hilarious! I have the same picture from when I was a baby and LOVE looking at it! This year we got lucky with Oliver, he loved him, but we will see what next year brings us!
Max had the same reaction this year...huge tears but they stopped the moment he was off Santa's lap...I guess every mom has one of these pics!
Aww! You meanie. But they are kinda funny! I took Brock today and he just had this blank look on his face, like he was thinking, "mom, seriously? What are you thinking!?" LOL.
