I briefly mentioned that Bob and I are attending a wedding this weekend. Bob's good friend, Scott and his fiance Lauren are getting married on the beach in Ocean City, NJ. Because Bob is in the wedding, we will be heading down the shore tomorrow at noon and returning on Sunday. It should be a lovely weekend and the weather is suppose to be gorgeous. Part of Lauren & Scott's gift to the wedding party was paying for a 6-bedroom suite complete with an ocean front balcony, kitchen, living room... you should see this thing, it's gorgeous! Their reception is in the same hotel, so we won't even have to drive anywhere. I can't wait!
The only thing is.... Carter will not be coming with us. I would never even think to bring him to a wedding, but this will be the first weekend away from him since he was born. =( Oh, he won't care and I realize this. He will be with my mom on Friday night and my sister Kristi on Saturday night. They have all kinds of fun things planned and he won't even remember who we are once we drop him off, lol. But it certainly will be difficult for us. We're going to try our very best to relax and enjoy this child-free weekend {omg we can actually do whatever we want?!} but I know we will have a really hard time. Sigh...
I was able to find a few pictures of our hotel suite online, but I'll be sure to take a ton of pictures of the wedding this weekend!
Nice, right? I hope everyone has a lovely weekend! Send me some good vibes so that I don't drink wine at the wedding and get upset that I'm away from Carter. What? That's hypothetical. It never happened before...

Wow, that house is AMAZING! And I hope you have a fabulous time. Isn't it funny how there are times that I'm sure you think, "I just wish I could have some time to myself!" but then you get it and worry that you won't be able to have fun because you'll be missing your baby. Such is the life of a mom!

Kristal- That's exactly it. I'm so excited for the freedom, but I know I will miss him like crazy. I'll try to relax, but it's not likely. You're understanding it already ;)

I haven't left Hanna over night yet though I am sure she will be fine. It's me that won't be able to sleep! My husband keeps telling me she will be fine but I'm just not ready.

I know exactly how you feel leaving Carter for the weekend. My husband and I went to Mexico for almost a week, and I missed Sasha like crazy, but we had such a nice time, just the two of us. Have a blast, try to relax, and know he'll be in great hands ;)
