First weekend away...

...was a complete SUCCESS! I did not get upset once! Not once. Even after a few glasses of wine, I kept it together and enjoyed myself. I knew that Carter was in good hands with my mom and sister. Thankfully, he slept well for both {why does he sleep for everyone else!?!?!} and he was an angel the whole time. Even when we went to pick him up on Sunday, he smiled, jumped up and down, gave us hugs, and then wanted to get back down and play with Gracie. He didn't miss us one bit, lol.

As for the wedding, it was beautiful. The weather was perfect {perfect!!!!} the entire weekend, the hotel suite was gorgeous, and we really had a wonderful, wonderful time. We made great time on Friday, and got down the shore well before the rehearsal and dinner started{FYI: "down the shore" is standard Philly/Jersey talk... I think most people say "to/at the beach"... kinda boring ;). } Besides the bride and groom, we got first pick of our hotel room {the suite had FIVE bedrooms!!} and we were lucky enough to have ocean views out of all 5 windows, and could see straight to Atlantic City. After the rehearsal, which took place barefoot on the beach, we took a trolley to The Shore Club where we enjoyed good food, wine, and million dollar yachts, none of which were mine. Yet.

On Saturday, we did all of my favorite shore things. We played mini-golf on the boardwalk {Congo Falls is the best!} and then ate Mack & Manco's pizza for lunch. There was an air show taking place on Sunday, so they were conducting practice on Saturday morning. It was amazing to see the fighter jets flying low over the ocean, and the old-time war planes doing tricks over the board walk. Coolest thing ever! We even had a great view of the planes from our hotel room, and some got a little too close to the 9th {top} floor of our building, lol. I can only imagine what the actual show was like...

The wedding on the beach was beautiful. Everyone had their shoes off {including the bride!} and the guys all wore flip flops. It was really cool to be dressed up and on the beach... that'll never happen again, so I made sure to take lots of pictures! There were so many people watching the wedding on the beach and on the boardwalk, and some even had the nerve to stand behind the alter {which was pretty close to the ocean}... who would do that!?! Hopefully there aren't too many pictures with random people behind them! The reception was so fun, and they had delicious food... I ate SO MUCH! Afterwards, everyone came back to our suite for a party. Everyone except for the groom that is.... he passed out at 9pm. True story. However, by 5:30am, he sure made up for it by barging into our room and waking us up! I did get some pretty funny pictures of them.... hehe.

Because I was {unexpectedly} up at 5:30am, I couldn't go back to sleep. I was so excited to see Carter that I actually asked Bob if we could leave. I was immediately shot down. So instead, I decided to watch the sunrise over the ocean. It was beautiful and I just knew it was going to be a good day =)

Of course, I have {a ton of} pictures....

The "owner's suite" at The Flanders Hotel...

Married!
Cocktail hour...My wonderful mother/father-in-law...Yummm.
Reception...though Kacy has all the good pictures on her camera. Hi-larious.The suite at 5:30am....What does a bride and groom look like at 5:30am the morning after their wedding? Why this of course...Poor Brent! Some of the boys thought it would be funny to load his bed up with all the fake plants in the suite. Honestly, it was pretty hilarious. Brent didn't even notice {or maybe just didn't care??} until he woke up in the morning! Yes, he's actually in this bed...And I'll end with the beautiful sunrise pictures....
