Party Planning

Because my baby... ya know, the one that I just brought home from the hospital... will be one a month from tomorrow{!!!}, the party planning is well under way.

I posted the invitation that I designed a few weeks ago, but here it is again:
And the back...

I ordered it in a 6x9 matte finish from Vista Print {VP}, and let me just tell you.... it is absolutely amazing. And I'm not just saying that because I designed it, I mean the printing quality and everything about it is just, well... perfect. It's exactly what I pictured and I'm totally in love with it!

Not to mention that I got a 50% off coupon from Retail Me Not! Because I needed to order 60 invitations {yes... SIXTY*... the invite list is up to 100 adults and 37 kids} I was so glad to find a coupon for my order. *In my defense, the party list is always out of control when my family throws a party. My mom is one of 8 kids {who are all married and have kids and grand kids that we are all very close too} and my dad is one of 6! Also, my mom owns a daycare, and we are super close to everyone, therefore I am inviting all of the kids and their families. Enough said.

Okay... keeping with the same design theme, I also made a 3ft x 2ft vinyl banner and ordered two of them from VP {one for inside and one for outside.}
I also designed "Thank You" gift tags and ordered them through VP in a matte finish as well. These tags are 3in x 2in and will be placed on the outside of natural gable favor boxes...

I'm still looking into favors for all of the kiddos {all 37 of them!!!}, but here are a few things I love:
As for the decor, we're having a tent set up in the backyard of my parents house like this {but a little bigger!}Of course, that pic is from our last Luau party ;) We'll be decorating the entire backyard area, but these items are some of my favorites:

Paper lanterns...
All Phillies plates, cups, napkins, etc!!

We're making cupcakes to look like baseballs for all the kids, then we're putting in these Phillies cupcake pics...
Baseball cooler...

And a pinata...
So now you may be wondering, what in the world do you do with 37 kids at a party?
1) my parents have a pool.
2) You get a water slide...
And 3) You rent a moonbounce...
So that's how the party planning is going so far. I'm still in denial that my baby is turning 1. It's just crazy! I'll keep you updated on the rest of the planning as things fall into place =)

OMG Jenni! If I wasn't having Shaun's party on the same day, I would SO be crashing your party :) Thanks again for your help with the invites. I ordered them yesterday. I will let you know how they turn out.

Looks like it is going to be a lot of fun. I am trying to decide what to have as far as decorations go. I know we are going to do cupcakes that look like baseballs, but other than that I have no idea. At Oliver's party there are only going to be a couple of kids, the rest adults, but I am going to do a small favor for the ones that are comming.

I love the drink cooler that you got, where did you find it?

HOLY MOLY! Can you plan Aidan's 2nd birthday party for me next year? You could do party planning as well as invitations...cover the whole darn theme. Everything looks great! Where'd you find all that Phillies stuff?

Most of the favors are from Oriental Trading.

Stac- the Phillies stuff is from this site {it's the cheapest I found... though I still want to check Party City in Deptford}:

Wow! Jenni, everything looks amazing. What a fun time for adults and kids! Watch out for party crashers, cause if I lived on that block you'd be I'd mosey on over.
