Weekend Recap

I don't think a weekend goes by that we're not busy. Even on a rare weekend that we have nothing planned, they always turn out to be.... well, busy. But I really like it that way. I grew up in a house full of people 24/7. My mom owned a daycare in our house, so there were always a million kids around growing up (so fun... my sisters and I LOVED it! That's even how I met Bob... through a daycare kid I grew up with!) Not only that, but our house was on the way to everything, so people that drove by would just stop on in. Friends, family... you name it. My friends would stop by and I wouldn't even be home. I'd call my mom while I was out and ask her what she was doing and she'd say "oh, I'm sitting here talking to {insert name here} ... they stopped by." Oh... well okay. Have fun without me! lol It was great. I have always loved being surrounded by people. That's probably why I have such a hard time being home alone. Most people love it. I get bored.

So that's my confusing explanation as to why my weekends are usually so action-packed.

Anyway.... on to my recap. Kacy and Ryan offered to babysit our nephew {Ben} and niece {Grace} on Friday night and all day Saturday while Matt and Kristi took a little mini-vacay down the shore. So I spent a lot of time over their house with Carter. The kids had a lot of fun together and we made sure to fill Ben up with tons of junk food {he had lots of pizza, ice cream, cake, and dunkin donuts!} We're good aunts, I tell ya :)

Once all the kiddos were in bed on Friday night, Kacy and I headed out to a bachlorette party for Christina. Her and her fiance, Tim {Kacy's BIL}, are getting married in less then 3 weeks!!! Kacy and I, along with a few other girls, took Christina out on the town. I felt so old because we didn't even leave to go out until 11pm!! On a Friday night... that's so hard for me. Can you tell I'm pushing 30? I'm not in college anymore, people. I don't have any pictures to post yet because I have to get them from Kacy. Sorry!

On Saturday, we got all the kids ready and then went to a First Holy Communion party at a local restaurant. The party was outside on the covered patio and it would have been beautiful if it wasn't 97 degrees out. I actually had to run to the store to buy Carter a pair of khaki shorts so that he had something to wear! We weren't ready for the summer weather, I guess! Here are a few pics...

My little man...The cutest picture of Ben I have ever seen :) He looks like a little angel......and back to being a devil.Miss Gracie Girl looked so pretty in her dress...
Carter can't take the heat I guess, lol. He passed out in Gracie's car seat...
On Saturday night, we went back to Kacy and Ry's for a deck party. Kristi and Matt came back from the shore at dinner time and brought us a present.... Mack & Manco boardwalk pizza!!!!!!! OMG it was pure heaven!!!!! My favorite.

We were up bright and early on Sunday morning for Ethan's March or Dimes walk. I designed a logo and Steph made t-shirts for all the walkers, including the babies. They turned out adorable!!!

A few of the boys in their yellow "Team EthanG" shirts...

Look at his FOUR teeth!! OMG...

Heading back after the walk. It was sooooo HOT. 95 degrees!

Time to cool off and rehydrate! Carter loves playing with water bottles... why do we buy him toys?
He picked up a friend. I guess Deacon and Carter are about to go look for some girls!
After the walk, we headed back to Steph's house and had a little BBQ. The kids loved playing together with all of E's toys...
Pretty girl {Chloe}
It was hot enough to go swimming!! Carter LOVED it. {All the babies had swim diapers on and looked so cute!}
Looks like Carter is talking about something really exciting, right?
D kept trying to escape. Look at his little mischievous smirk ;)
Carter just kept on laughing, splashing {sorry Chloe!!} and smiling...
Gotta show off the muscles...
When we got home, it was time to relax...
...and watch Mickey Mouse, of course...
Bob cooked on the grill for dinner {YUM!} and then we took Carter to Rita's for the first time. He LOVED it. He actually got mad at me when I put down my mango water ice to take this picture.
Can you see the look of death that he's giving me? He has his "mean eyebows" on. Nice.

OMG, I wish I'd seen that face when he was trying to escape. Absolutely hilarious.

Totally not like my kid to escape from the pool.
