November = Love

November, how I love thee. Let me count the ways...
  • November 1st: The first official day that I am allowed to start celebrating Christmas. One of my best friends, Cheryl, implemented a rule in college that I could not hang up our Christmas lights in our room until after Halloween. What kind of a stupid rule is that? Unfortunately, Bob liked the rule and kept it in place. I popped in my favorite Christmas CD first thing Saturday morning on the way to the store.
  • November 2nd: The first day I met Bob- 11/2/01.
  • November 11th: Our first real date (11/11/01) and when we celebrate our anniversary every year. After we got engaged in May of 2005, we were trying to pick a day for our wedding. We both LOVE the fall, so we knew it would be October or November. My sister, Kacy, noticed that November 11th fell on a Saturday in 2006. And that's the day we got married: 11/11/06- on our 5 year dating anniversary.
  • November 18th: In 2005, this was just another day. In 2006, it was a bitter sweet day- the day we returned from our honeymoon in St. Lucia. We knew we'd miss it, but we were so excited to get home! In 2007, however, it turned into one of the best days of our lives... it's the day we found out we were pregnant.
  • Thanksgiving Eve: Always a fun time going out :)
  • Thanksgiving: Um, hello... lots of good food, tons of family, what more could you want!?! It was also this day, last year, that we shared our pregnancy news with our parents.
  • Black Friday: Yes, my mom, sisters, and I are one of the many crazy people that wake up at 5am head straight to Shmunkin (a.k.a Dunkin Donuts to real people), and then spend the day Christmas shopping. It's wonderful.

So, there ya have it. November is probably my favorite month of the year. I love the weather, the beautiful fall colors, the trees. Everything.
