My Gawd!

I had my 38 week doctors appointment yesterday. I haven't progressed since Friday's appointment, so I'm still at 3cm dilated and 80% effaced... which is really good according to the doc. The problem is my blood pressure. It was still high again yesterday so the doctor made me lay down for 15 minutes and checked it again. She was going to induce me yesterday, if it didn't go down, but luckily it did. A little.

She quickly decided on a new game plan:
-BP is too high and the baby is still big.
-Scheduled me for a doctors appointment first thing Friday morning to check my BP.
-If my BP is still high, she will induce me THIS FRIDAY, July 18th.
-If my BP is considered "safe" then the induction will be scheduled for THIS MONDAY, July 21st.

To sum it up... I'm going to have a baby in less than 5 days. OMG.

So, I'm here at work. Tomorrow will be my official last day. This whole PG has progressed in slow motion and now, all of a sudden, it's moving so fast. Bob and I are in disbelief that we will actually be parents soon. What do you do the night before you KNOW you're going to have a baby? Relax? Go to the movies? Go out to dinner? I have no idea.

What a weird (but awesome) feeling this is...
