Wordless | That girl

Monday?

I was so THAT girl.

Twice.

Yes, yes, I am pregnant. And I know that's why they have these spots. But still? I'm fully capable of walking. I'm not 2 weeks past due carrying an 11lb baby. I just couldn't help myself. I was so excited to get to my anatomy scan at MFM that I took the very last "expectant mother" spot {which was, ahem... right next to the door.} But BRU? There were plenty of spots. I just wanted to park there. No excuses.

Personally I think they should do away with all expectant mother spots and put in spots for families with small children. {I know they already have these at some stores.} Because it's about a bajillion times more difficult to lug my two toddlers out of the car and into a store than it is to walk my fat, pregnant ass 10 feet to the front door.

Let me tell ya...

Anyone else park in these spots!?! Please tell me I'm not the only one ;)

  2. I parked in the expectant mother spot at BRU until Caroline was 1. I figured with a toddler and a baby-in-arms I needed it more than some 8 week pregnant lady coming to register. I'm the worst.

  3. It drives me nuts when people park there who are definitely not pregnant, e.g. men or old women, etc. You better believe that I parked there as soon as I found out I was pregnant! That's what they're there for, right? :-)

  6. I totally agree with you,it is good for pregos to get some extra steps in, but mamas of toddlers get plenty in as it is! I think it would be nice if all the spots next to the cart racks were reserved for families at grocery stores.

  7. I always giggle with glee when I happen upon spots for families with young children. Trying to lug around three babies who are 3,2, and 1 is far more difficult than lugging around a big ol' belly!

  8. Ha ha. So true. Where are these spots for families with young kids???

  9. When I had my twin belly bump I needed those space! But yes, they are also necessary when carting around the kids. In my area they are called the new and expecting parents spaces.

  12. I would so much rather have had new mother parking than preggo parking. I waddled six miles the day I went into labor. I could barely walk forty feet recovering from a c-section hauling a new born in a car seat.

  13. My local CVS used to have a pregnant/toddler parent parking spot. They took it out this weekend and I voiced my opinion on upset that they took it away. I only used it twice and once when I was hugely pregnant and there was ice.

  14. YES, YES, YES. I've thought that a zillion times. Getting in the door with 2 tiny humans is much harder than carrying a watermelon in your belly.

  15. I cannot agree with you more! I will soon have 3 under 4 & under and those spots are too few and far between.
