Numb

Time has stopped for me and I'm not quite sure when it will start again.

My dad passed away very suddenly yesterday morning.

I feel completely numb.

My family is devastated.

I don't even know what to do or how to live without the greatest man I have ever known.  Someone who has taught me so much and made me the person I am today.  Someone who has touched more lives than any of us could have ever imagined.

I don't know when I'll be back here, but please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers during this unimaginable time.

    Oh no, Jenni, I am SO SORRY. I have been where you are (when I was 20) and it was the single defining experience of my life so far. Also the worst thing that has ever happened to me. MUCH LOVE to you and your family. I am so glad he got to know Reid for a couple of months before he passed away. I am thinking of you and sending healing thoughts your way. xoxo Amber

    Oh Jenni, I am so sorry for you and for your family. We lost my husband's mom almost exactly 3 years ago, and while it wasn't so sudden, it was still devastating. I know there is really nothing I can say, but know that we are all thinking of you and your family.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I am in tears just reading your post. I am so thankful that you have such a close family and you will have them to fall back onto for support. My father-in-law passed away 2 years ago Thanksgiving from brain cancer. He had a massive heart attack 10 years prior to passing away and we almost lost him then. My husband is so thankful for the extra 10 years that he knows he got with his dad, I know your dad was also given extra time after an accident several years ago. I am sure those extra years as you may see them now were a huge blessing in all of your lives. We will never know why great people are taken away from us too early.     I'm so incredibly sorry about your dad.
    I know that nothing anyone says can really make you feel better at this time, but just know that you are in my thoughts and my prayers.

    My dad passed away this past February very suddenly and it is still so painful to even think about. There are days I still feel so numb.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I could tell you it gets easier but it doesn't. I lost my dad 2 years ago and I miss that man so much. Lean on your friends and family ~ when someone offers help take it ~ it is not a sign a weakness ~ it is a sign of love and the people around you want to show that love any way they can.
    You are stronger than you think and you will see your dad in little things and that will never go away!

    I'm so sorry for your loss. I've never commented before, but wanted to express my condolences to you. I suddenly lost my dad 14 years ago (when I was 19)and I still miss him dearly. I know there isn't much I can say that will ease the pain, but know that the lessons your dad taught you will forever live in you. A part of your dad will live on in you, and in your children forever.

    Oh, Jenni! I am so sorry for your loss. I experienced the loss of my most favorite aunt this week. And while her death was not sudden (she was battled cancer for the last 3 years) it didn't hurt any less. She was the best person I will ever have known in this lifetime.     Jenni, I am not sure how I missed this news of your family. And I know I am late, but please know that you and your family are in my prayers for peace and healing. I am so sorry for your loss and know that no words can make this hurt less, but please know that you are not alone and that even internet strangers have you and your family swaddled in their thoughts and prayers during this time of need.
