1. So, tell us a little bit about yourself!
I am a born and bred New Yorker. Currently I live in Southern California with my husband and our son Ford who is about to turn one. I always wanted to do something in fashion and majored in costume design in college. Both my grandmother and great grandmother were dress makers so I guess you can say it’s in my blood!

2. You own/work for an awesome company, huh? Do tell!
I am the owner of Jules Ford Maternity. I started the company when I was eight months pregnant. I gained 83 pounds so you can imagine I had a very hard time finding clothes that would not only fit but were made well. It was discouraging to find maternity clothes designed by supermodels because the only thing super about me was the size of my belly!

3. How long have you been involved with this company and in what capacity?
We have been rocking and rolling for 14 months. Sales are up 428% and I couldn’t be happier! Things could not be better. I design for what I like to call the “real” pregnant women. The girl who not only gains weight in her belly but also in her face, arms, bum,…….. Just because your body is changing doesn’t mean your style has to.

4. What are your favorite items and what would you recommend to others?
I love the Helena dress because it looks amazing on everyone and can be shortened for a less dressy look. For those mama’s who plan on nursing, my tops are great because they totally provide full coverage so you can nurse anywhere and not feel like you’re flashing everyone! Also, maternity spanx! I could not have survived my pregnancy without them J
