Y3W | Vacation or Staycation?

That is the question.

Sorry I keep talking about this, but it's extremely upsetting. No one wants a hurricane to ruin not only their vacation plans, but destroy people's homes with damaging winds and flooding in the process. It's awful.

With Irene continuing to get worse and worse, it looks like this will be more of a staycation than a vacation. We've already planned out a few things we can do next week as a family, including:
  • Philadelphia Zoo
  • Baltimore Harbor & Aquarium
  • Washington DC
  • Ocean City, NJ {if it's still in tact}
We're trying to make the best of it, and while all those things sound lovely to do as a family, it still doesn't beat living ocean front for a week in a gorgeous house with your favorite people in the world.

Sigh.

I need more coffee. And a box of tissues. :(

I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, I have AMAZING guest bloggers scheduled for next week. With this storm, I have more time on my hands to set everything up over the weekend before we {hopefully} leave.

Have a lovely weekend everyone and STAY SAFE east coasters.

You're continued support is amazing. xoxo

  1. i'm with ya on the box of tissues. however, i feel a bottle of wine may have the same effect. we can start that immediately as we are technically on vacation with no inappropriate time to start.

  3. I'm so sorry :( we live about 20 minutes from Baltimore! If you do make it up this way I would go to the Washington DC zoo. It's much better than the Baltimore Zoo and it's free!! That Harbor is beautiful though. Good luck and maybe whore bag Irene will have a change of heart!

  6. I'm sorry that Irene is ruining your wonderful vacation. I know staying home isn't the same but if that's what you have to do, it sounds like you'll make the best of it. Still holding out hope for you, that you are able to enjoy that beach house--even if its not for the whole week.

  12. How about bring the Family south to Florida?! For once the hurricane is leaving us alone and it will be sunny and beautiful all week along the coasts. Otherwise, stay safe and be sure the family is prepared for the hurricane aftermath (no electricity, water etc.) Thats always the worst part!
